For many years now, Dan’l Mackey Almy has waited for the day when Nashville would call her name. Believe it or not, last week, on March 25th, and just in time for her birthday, Nashville called. Shocked? So were we, but we’re thrilled that our fearless leader’s dream is finally coming true! Here’s the story…

Late last year when passing through Nashville on a business trip, Dan’l auditioned for a new television series on CMT titled, “Kings and Queens of Karaoke” just for the fun of it. For Dan’l, the audition process was brutal both emotionally and on her vocal chords. For eight hours, she paced the floors of that Four Points Sheraton and sang her heart out, to progress from one group of producers to the next. At last, she made it to the audition where CMT network and record label executives made their final judgment.

With her southern charm and a capella version of Janis Joplin’s, “Piece of my Heart,” Dan’l won over the judges. As of this week, the producers (her new BFF’s) called to confirm that she indeed had been chosen as a contestant for the show!

While filming the show, Dan’l will take a 12-week hiatus to live in a southern antebellum mansion in a suburb outside of Nashville to record this reality-style weekly competition, where American Idol meets America’s Got Talent meets Nashville Star meets the Real World, karaoke style. All the while, the DMA Solutions team will keep moving forward with business as usual.

Without further ado and officially announcing this monumental achievement, the team at DMA Solutions extends a big, Texas-sized, “Congratulations,” to Dan’l and wishes her all of the success that her sweet little voice and her big heart can bring her!
