tour-de-fresh-postWe can’t believe it’s finally here – the 2015 Tour de Fresh starts on MONDAY! In efforts to help everyone plan for this incredible event, we’ve outlined answers to some of the Tour’s most frequently asked questions. Whether you’re participating or are just wanting to see the riders cross the finish line in Atlanta, this post should answer some of your questions. Q: Where is the Welcome Dinner?

A: The Welcome Dinner is at the Highland Avenue Restaurant – 883 Highland Ave. SE, Hickory, NC 28602. It will be from 6:00 to 8:00pm and will be sponsored by Titan Farms and the SUNSET Flavormobile. We will be welcoming Tom Stenzel, President and CEO of the United Fresh Produce Association.

Q: What are the ride routes for days 1-4?

A: Day 1: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/7181577

   Day 3: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/7489417

     Day 4: There are two options for day four, including http://ridewithgps.com/routes/10537135 and http://ridewithgps.com/routes/10537135. We will decide on October 21st which route we will take.

Q: Where is the Finish Line Ceremony?

A: The Finish Line Ceremony is at Whole Foods Market at Sandy Springs – 5930 Roswell Rd, Atlanta, GA 30328. It will be starting at 12:30pm and we will be donating the check (all rider-raised funds) to the United Fresh Foundation.

Q: How can I get to the Finish Line Ceremony from the convention center?

A: A shuttle to and from PMA Fresh Summit will be available for those needing transportation to the Finish Line Ceremony. The shuttle will pick up in front of the convention center at 10:55am on Oct. 22, and will return to the convention center following the conclusion of the 12 noon Finish Line Ceremony and check presentation to the United Fresh Foundation, around 1:30pm.

Q: Who should attend the Finish Line Ceremony?

A: It would be beneficial to anyone who is involved in the fresh produce industry to attend the Finish Line Ceremony. Attending any of the events throughout the Tour de Fresh offers a great opportunity to experience the positive impact this incredible cause has on communities across the country. You will also have the opportunity to interview riders, gather images from the ride, and get updated donation information.

Q: Are there any other stops along the way where I can support the team and cause?

A: If you would like to support any of the Tour de Fresh riders and the Let’s Move Salad Bars to Schools program, visit the Tour de Fresh website and donate. We will be accepting donations until we reach our goal of $195,000. By donating, you’re not only helping the Tour de Fresh provide salad bars to schools across the country, you’re shaping students’ eating behaviors for a lifetime.

Q: How can I donate to the Tour de Fresh?

A: When you visit the Tour de Fresh Riders Page, you have the option to donate to individual riders/school districts or to the entire cause. If you prefer mailing a check, please send it to the following address and make it payable to The California Giant Foundation.
